The database currently contains 21267 species with more than a thousand photos and is still growing. For each plant you will find here known synonyms of its name, short description, origin, territory and altitude of its natural location, size, color, bloom, if it is calciphile (Ca+) or calciphobe (Ca-), its type (rosette etc.), cultivation and propagation.

This English version was translated from original database written in Czech. Please drop us a note if you find any incorrect or inaccurate translation or even text which is not translated at all.

Why do you need it?

The CD version contains details about all the 21267 species which are in our database as oposed to the online version where the detailed information is not displayed for one third of the entries. In addition to the information contained here the CD also contains lists of synonyms, listings of plants having the same origin and listings of plants of the same type. Please buy the CD to support our efforts so that the database can continue growing.

What do you need to use the CD?

The CD works on any computer system with Windows 95/Windows NT 4.0 or later. You will also need an internet browser installed on your PC.
